UPS Delivers A 1.4% First Quarter Earning Growth

United Parcel Service (UPS) has reported $14 billion in first quarter revenue from January 1, 2015 to March 31, 2015. This revenue represents a 1.4% growth over the first quarter of 2014. Revenue was up from last year in many key areas, including:

  • International revenue – 2.4%
  • Operating profit -14%
  • At home revenue – 3.8%
  • Operating profit – 11%
  • Total revenue per package – 1.3%

Chief Operating Officer Kurt Kuehn commented on the growth, saying: “Solid performance across all three business segments was led by positive momentum in International, gains from revenue management and productivity improvements in the U.S.” Kuehn will retire this summer and be replaced by Richard Peretz, the current corporate controller and treasurer.
